    Automation

Setting up software to do a repetitive task for you, so it runs on its own without you touching it each time.

Automation is getting software to do a repeatable job so you do not have to. It usually starts with a trigger - an event like a new lead, a new order, or a set time each day - followed by one or more actions that happen automatically in response. Once it is set up, it runs quietly in the background.

    Why it matters for business

It is the most direct way to buy back your time. Anything you do the same way, again and again, is a candidate: sending follow-ups, moving data between apps, generating recurring reports. Adding AI steps lets automation handle tasks that need a little reading or judgement, not just rigid rules.

    Where to start

Pick one task you do every week that follows the same steps each time. Automate that one first, confirm it works, then move to the next.
